Does acai juice contain caffeine?
I was told that acai berries contain some caffeine, but in looking around online I havent seen anything mentioned about caffeine content. Does anyone know more about this? Do they in fact contain any…if so approximately how much in something like V* acai mixed berry juice. Thanks everyone ![]()
the V* was meant to be V8 by the way
but i am sure everyone figured that out ![]()
I just buy regular V8 (cheap
) acai juice. I am trying to determine if there is anything harmful like caffeine in it or if it is safe to let my 16 month old drink it
.

Did you know that eating like regular blueberries from like the grocery store has 5 times as much antioxidants as drinking acai juice?
Choice, the publication of the Australian Consumers Association, undertook a major study to answer this question in 2007….

Hi,
Well Acai itself does not have caffeine.
However some Acai products may use Acai to ‘compliment’ the effects.
Check the label – if it has Caffeine, it will be listed.
Regarding Acai … make sure you buy the ‘freeze-dried’ kind (preferably Sambazon). Freeze-dried Acai weight for weight has the highest ORAC score of unprocessed Acai (and Blueberries!).
And if you get the Sambazon kind, they use organic berries from a sustainable source.
Trust this helps,
