Is Acai Berry Really Safe? Avoid Dangerous Acai Berry Products At All Costs

Is acai berry safe? Is there any danger in buying acai? If so… HOW so? Has anyone ever gotten sick from acai berry juice or extract? In this article we are going to take a quick and insightful look at the safety of acai berry fruit, juice and supplements, and ensure that you NEVER buy something you will regret later. Curious to know more? Great… continue reading as we take a closer look below!

Okay… but is acai fruit itself safe to eat?

Yes, it is….BUT, with one major caveat. Acai berry, when picked, is only “good” for about a day….or generally 24 hours from harvest. It is highly perishable…and therefore NOT something you are going to want to eat a few days or weeks after it’s fresh. The good news is though, it’s NOT generally an issue, as because of this fact, almost 100% of the acai products that are shipped are freeze dried or preserved immediately upon harvest, and hence, there is no chance you are going to be buying acai fruit off of the “palm” for consumption. (unless you live in Brazil….or proximal enough to the rain forest where this is an option!)

So acai is completely safe to eat or consume as a supplement, juice or extract?

Absolutely, and I’ve never heard of anyone getting sick or having an adverse reaction to any acai berry product….period! (but of course, if you have any unusual allergies or concerns about fruit or vegetable sensitivity, you should check with your doctor if this is a fear for you) Where some people need to look at little bit closely are the other ingredients that some supplements may include…especially when weight loss is the primary purpose for purchase. For example….many supplement contain green tea or extract when sold for weight loss, and I’ve seen several acai products that do as well. If you are allergic to green tea or something similar, you may find that kind of product NOT the right choice for you…and instead, look for a purer or 100% organic acai product instead.

The bottom line is…

Acai is a nutrient rich, tasty and incredibly potent powerhouse of anti-oxidants, phytonutrients and other trace minerals that play an important part in overall health and wellness. It’s also safe, and while exotic, NOT something you should worry about when buying….be it online, or at your local naturopath as well. My secret? I look for products that are certified organic, and devoid of the “fillers” that are far too common with many of todays supplements and alternative wellness products.

Bonus Tip:  Beware of the Acai Berry Scams! Unfortunately, many of the Acai products on the market are scams, being sold by unscrupulous companies with one hand in your pocket, rather than out to help you heal.

My best advice? If you really want to experience the amazing benefits of acai, make sure you ONLY buy genuine Acai Berry extract.

(This is the best acai product  online in our opinion, and the one that we use, and recommend to our family, friends and readers alike.)

Acai has absolutely nothing to do with weight loss. It’s a berry, high in antioxidants. You can get the same vitamins by eating blueberries or raspberries, or even drinking green tea or pomegranate juice. CNN has already done a story about how the weight loss claims are bogus

http://edition.cnn.com/2009/HEALTH/03/23/acai.berries.scam/index.html

All of these internet ads are nothing but scams to charge up your credit card every month for $ 40 with no way to cancel – google acai berry scam to see how many tens of thousands of people have reported being scammed

If you want to try for yourself, never fall for any free trial or buy online. You can get them at any health food/vitamin store.

Does the Acai Berry stuff really do anything?

Thursday, December 2nd, 2010

Question by theamazingstranger: Does the Acai Berry stuff really do anything?
Ok so my wife just bought some of Andrew Lessman’s Acai Berry extract and I’m just wondering if it’s worth taking? I’m not looking for a website or a business opportunity just some honest response from people who have taken it. I know there are a lot of claims for weight loss, and I’ve heard of some other benefits. So – does it really do anything?

Best answer:

Answer by Porto man
Well it speeds up your metabolism a little bit, and then you lose a little extra weight, but you already have to be on a diet and fitness plan.

It really isn’t worth it. Only pure cardiovascular exersise and some dieting and healthy eating can lose weight. This just speeds your metabolism a bit, for some money. Instead, you can eat 6 regular meals instead of 3 big meals to speed up the metabolism.

Acai Berry works, but only slightly. It’s not worth the time and the money.

Question by ibarraerik77: So I’ve been hearing a lot about the Acai berry but im not too convinced. Is it really worth it? Does it work?
I’ve been through countless websites that talk about the miracles this fruit has worked, but these websites don’t seem too legitimate. I want to know if this stuff works and how it works. I also want to know which Acai berry product, that’s in the market, is the most efficient. What are some benefits and risks of using this new method of weight loss?

my mother used to eat fresh acai berries often. Along with working out and eating health overall it can help . But just like with any other diet type thing you’ve gotta do more than just eat the fruit.
